Waking from a dream in the early morning, I realised afterwards this was a dream, so real was it in its moment. The dream was the most recent in a series beginning in 1971 or 1972 at Thornhill Cottage, Holt just 2.5 miles outside Wimborne.
The two preceding dreams in the series were 5 years ago, at Chez Minx in Chiswick, and 6 years ago in Edinburgh (when T was appearing in Picasso’s Women during the Festival). These are uplifting dreams, and I have begun to understand them better.
A powerful dream, alone in a dormitory on my first night at Sherborne House, Gloucestershire in 1975, remains with me. That dream was a one-off and stays with me. I am continuing to question it & wonder its import. Should I take it literally? metaphorically?
Rising from the floor of the Chamber of Venality & saluting the day, I found myself remembering the especial benevolence available to GC in the Dominican monastery at Sant Cugat in Barcelona; and how few of the spaces we work in have this quality present & available to support our aspiration & endeavours. Then the notion: Guitar Craft has paid its way sufficiently to be allowed into the House. In the early days of Guitar Craft, on many of the courses, my sense was that we were in buildings that needed us & the particular contribution that GC can make. The buildings didn’t always contribute much more than the space to work (itself already quite a lot).
09.21 A grey day in the Chalke Valley.
09.25 The Minx has just called, so inside the sun is shining.
10.34 Now the sun is shining outside…

12.37 There is a hesitant quality to the musical performance, and a wonderful quality as well. As a Performance Event, regardless of the Musical Event, the event had juice.
DGM Parking Event…
DGM Park Event…
17.45 The First Day is porting Evensong (a slightly edited version of the encore) into i-Tunes, burnt to a blank CD. The blank CD gives the credit to Amy Hirsch for Planning Towards Success 1 in the genre of Books & Speech. This is my best Google-guess. As to how & why I have no suggestion.
18.40 The Vicar is in SoundWorld I & in very good spirits. In the Chamber of Venality the fourth draft compilation of a possible Churchscapes album is underway.
20.14 Practising.
21.34 Drawing breath & growing courage for an e-flurry. Churchscapes 4.1 is giving support.
22.35 Enough.
